For one, this company is full of honesty and integrity. When the plankton bio is not very good, they let you know, even though other companies are still booking reservations, they don’t book reservations pretending that it is good. The first time I went I was blessed to know what good Bio looks like, so I am glad they are so honest about it. Bioluminescence Plankton is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. And let’s be honest kayaking at night is relaxing, especially with the cool breeze and The clear skies! The second time I booked, the weather was awful and they were so good about giving us options for our cancellation. The third time we booked something new (comb jellies) because they told us the bio wasn’t good right now. It was a great back up tour, we even saw a little bio! The staff are always friendly, I have called multiple times probably spoke to the same guy (his voice sounded the same) sorry I didn’t catch his name but he was always very informative and friendly! Our tour guide Mark (although to us was known as Alex, cuz that’s what the text message said even though he did provide solid proof his name was Mark) and he was wonderful. If you get stuck on a tour with him be prepared to laugh (or cringe) because he is full of dad jokes to keep the tour entertaining and it absolutely did! It was basically a three in one tour because we got to hear the manatees right where we launched from! (Comb Jellies, Bio Plankton and manatees, Four in one if you count the comedic portion) Thank you again Calypso Kayaking Tours! We will see you next year! Trying to get another amazing Bio tour in!! Recommend this company to anyone traveling to the Titusville, Port Canaveral and cocoa beach area and looking for something to do!

  Super fun trip! Mark was our guide. He was knowledgeable and funny! We saw manatees, jumping mullet, and plenty of glowing jellyfish.

Our guide was very informative and kept things interesting for our small group of three. Would do this again in a heartbeat! Just wish I had a camera capable of taking low-light pictures. Being something better than a standard cell phone if you want good photos. Arrangements easy to make, with the operator letting us know about conditions (which were excellent, even this late in the year) prior to reserving.

  Can’t go wrong here with Phil and a couple of kayaks at Manatee Cove. Phil delivered us two single person kayaks and sent us on our way. Two hours, several... read more manatees later, he met us and picked up the kayaks. Easy peasy! Great location, free parking, excellent kayaking and yes there were manatees! Thanks Phil! Then he tells us the time is changed and we are an hour early. He says that tripadvisor has wrong time. He then let's a group pay cash for only $40 each. We paid $55. I asked why. He tells me trip advisor adds 25percent to his fees and no taxes. Seems very shady. When asked he gets very defensive. Does not offer anything and blames on TripAdvisor. Staff seems scared of owner. He was by his truck smoking when I approached. Basically was not interested in helping me because he already had my $$. Did not even apologize. Just blamed tripadvisor. Tour was disorganized and our guide did not give great communication. Half way thru the trip a woman and her son couldn't keep up. They left the group and went back. The leader told the other members of that party in front of us. Almost talking down to the husband of the wife. Very unprofessional. There are a lot of other companies offering this excursion. Alot are cheaper. You are better off trying them for the same experience. …

  Did a Bio-luminescence kayak trip one September night. I thought it was going to be lame and did not believe the pics seen on line. I do not have any... read more pics but it was incredible. Every movement of water lit up bright blue. The fish swimming around lit the water up, paddling, and the movement of the kayak lit it all up. The blue lights are not only on the surface but thru the depth of the water. If you could ever get the chance you have to do it. I only wish my wife was kayaking with me that night.
